Will It Matter If Mirrors Crack: Latenight Poetry

Mirror, mirror,
why did you fall?
Now, you can’t tell us
who is the fairest of them all.
Mirror, mirror,
we see no fair faces but ourselves
in beauty stores, between shelves.
Mirror, mirror,
you had us fooled.
We thought we’d see magic,
but all we saw were
ugly truths.
Mirror, mirror,
we’re glad you’re gone.
We’ve seen enough
between sunset and dawn.
Mirror, mirror,
why did you lie?
You could have told us that it is our inner ugliness
that will make us die.

  1. “You could have told us that it is our inner ugliness
    that will make us die.”
Powerful and true words. Outer beauty can hide dead in heart and soul. No weakness in the amazing poetry.
